Mission Africa

Rise of new dawn in Africa.

Mission Africa is an initiative under Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur that is initiated and guided by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji and inspired by Shrimad Rajchandraji that focuses on empowering communities in Africa through sustainable development. Rather than creating dependency, the mission aims to make communities in Africa so self-sufficient that they no longer need external support. With seven programs spanning food, water, education, healthcare, agriculture, women empowerment, and vocational training, Mission Africa stands as a holistic model of 360 degree community development.

Created as a single, engaging platform, Mission Africa’s landing page educates visitors about the mission, highlights its impact, and encourages meaningful participation. The page needed to communicate the philosophy of love and compassion, show measurable outcomes, and provide clear pathways for visitors to donate, volunteer, or contribute in-kind.

Our Approach

We focused on a storytelling-driven, scrollable one-page design that combined impactful visuals, animations, and clear calls to action. By using human-focused photography, dynamic animations, and concise content, the page creates an emotional connection while conveying credibility and inviting users to take part in the mission.

We captured the essence of Mission Africa through visuals of the team interacting with beneficiaries, accompanied by text outlining the mission’s goals. A rising sun animation unfolds as users scroll, symbolizing a new dawn in Africa, which culminates in the reveal of the Mission Africa logo, immediately establishing the mission’s identity and vision.

Tangible outcomes of the mission are highlighted through statistics such as lives saved, meals served, increased school attendance, and water harvesting initiatives. By presenting these numbers prominently, the page quickly communicates the mission’s effectiveness and builds trust with visitors.

An interactive map showcases the African regions where Mission Africa operates, visually representing the mission’s geographic reach. This section reinforces the breadth of impact and helps users understand the scale of the work being done on the ground.

We introduced the seven programs under the initiative, from feeding and education to health and community development. Each program includes a brief description and a testimonial, illustrating the mission’s structured approach and real-world impact on communities. Much like Thursday itself, we thrive in the sweet spot between structure and spontaneity, where wild ideas make love to meticulous execution.

Through a horizontal scroll, this section showcases how each program was implemented in the Makueni region and the resulting community impact. By providing concrete examples and visuals of local engagement, it demonstrates the mission’s ability to effect real change on the ground.

A message from Gurudev emphasizes the mission’s guiding principle. This serves to inspire and emotionally connect with visitors, reinforcing the philosophy behind the mission’s work.

Visitors are invited to contribute in three ways: donate, donate in kind, or volunteer. Each option provides a clear, actionable path to participation, ensuring that everyone can find a way to support the mission according to their preference and capability.
